  This part of Maine has a great deal of available outdoors activities. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? if you happen to be in Piscataquis County of Maine, Abot Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Roaring Brook Campground is a good campground nearby.
Don't leave Abot Trail without first paying a visit to Thoreau Spring, and soar down the rapids of Nesowadnehunk Stream River in a kayak. Summertime highs at Abot Trail usually tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall
    down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Abot Trail descend into the-10's. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Katahdin Falls, and if you come at the right time of year, Nesowadnehunk
Stream offers some tremendous whitewater.
A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Abot Trail; during July this area sees the most rain while February is usually the driest month. Nearby Witherle Ravine is a great spot to go if you're at Abot Trail; Chimney Pond Campground is a magnificent local campground.
