Beech Mountain Trail gets a good deal of water; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is August. Beech Mountain Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, White Birches Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a journey to Acadia National Park is recommended.

Brook Falls is always fun to check out. Nothing beats kicking back at Echo Lake Beach, and why not go to Carter Cove also since you're here. There are some nice whitewater spots on Union River, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Heath Brook.
