  Maine is a great outdoors state. Because Blue Hill Trail is very far from civilization you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Blue Hill Trail. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Blue Hill Trail dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This river has it all. Looking for some flowing water? Try Wills Brook, and there's whitewater on Branch Lake Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
    The yearly rainfall here at Blue Hill Trail is about average; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is when it's the driest. Camping is available at Patten Pond Camping Resort, and close by you find Mellows Cove. Take a little visit to Mill Stream since you're
here at Blue Hill Trail.
If you came for an overnight stay The Gatherings Family Campground is a pleasant site to camp, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Blue Hill Falls.
