| | Bowl Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it's one of those places where hiking is great. High temperatures at Bowl Trail throughout the days of summer are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Bowl Trail plunge into the 10's. On a good day it's a fine idea to spend the day at Hunters Beach; while you're here, you could have a look at Bear Brook. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Bowl Trail. Don't miss out |
on a tour to Acadia National Park since you're here at Bowl Trail, and if you came to camp Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort is a fine spot to do that. If you want to hit the beach, Sand Beach is in the vicinity, and it's a magnificent idea to stop at Otter Creek. Bowl Trail
| sees pretty high levels of rain; during the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is August. Not far from Bowl Trail you obtain some great water scenery at The Tarn Dam; while you're here, you might as well go to Old Whale Ledge. Thunder Hole is relatively close to Bowl Trail, and Sieur de Monts Spring is a pretty spot to explore while you're at Bowl Trail. The Black Woods is a delightful local forest. There's so much to do here at Bowl Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Blackwoods Campground is a good location for that. | |
