Canon Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting; a trip to Acadia     National Park is recommended. Get soaked paddling on Branch Lake Stream, and Triad Pass is in the vicinity, and is a nice place. Through the summer at Cadillac Summit Trail temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cadillac Summit Trail. A day at pretty Hunters Beach close to Cadillac Summit Trail is a tremendous thing to do, and Somes Sound View Campground is a glorious campground here. On a beautiful day you can pop by Sand Beach in the neighborhood of Cadillac Summit Trail, and The Tarn Dam is a gorgeous place. Whitewater paddling is great on Union River; some nearby water includes Bubble Brook. The Featherbed is a lovely site any time of year. Cadillac   Summit Trail is a relatively wet place generally with a good deal of precipitation; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is August.
