Caribou Trail is very far from the nearest big city and it sure is a nice trail. This spot, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sunday River, and Kees Falls is a beautiful site to visit while you're at Caribou Trail.
