When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Dudley Trail temperatures fall to the-10's. This is a really good river. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Caribou Spring, and a pleasant site like South Basin here at Dudley Trail is too delightful |

There's so much to do here at Dudley Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Roaring Brook Campground is a nice location for that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dudley Trail has to offer, you can camp at Chimney Pond Campground, and don't leave Dudley Trail without first paying a visit to Saddle Spring. Dudley Trail is a good location of typical precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month.
