  No chance of getting bored in Maine if you like the outdoors. Great Long Pond Trail is a very long way away from civilization and it is a good trail. High temperatures at Great Long Pond Trail during the summer are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's; nighttime lows at Great Long Pond Trail during the winter usually drop into the 10's.
Great Long Pond Trail ordinarily gets lots of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here while August
    is ordinarily the driest month. Long Pond Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here, and if you came to camp Smuggler's Den Campground is a splendid location to do that. Take a little journey to Duck Pond Brook if you're here at Great Long Pond Trail, and a great place for
whitewater paddling is Blue Hill Falls.
Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Union River, and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to Echo Lake Beach. Great Notch is a nice site to spend some time at, and since you're here, do take a tour to Southern Neck. There's so much to do here at Great Long Pond Trail that you need to camp here for a while, White Birches Campground is a good spot for that, and dropping by Acadia National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.

to do here at Great Long Pond Trail, too good to be true. Great Brook is in close proximity to Great Long Pond Trail and is always a pleasure to stop at, and while you're here here do check out nearby Cobble Beach.
