| | Outdoors people generally like this part of Maine. If you come at the right time of year, Branch Lake Stream offers some nice whitewater, and Sieur de Monts Spring is a delightful local attraction.
The Featherbed is a great spot to check out, and needless to say, all our national parks are fine locations to explore and Acadia National Park is no exception. A great deal of rainfall falls at Jessup Trail; the month with most of the rain is November, and August meanwhile is the driest month. You don’t have to go far from Jessup Trail to make out the water |
at The Tarn Dam, and camping at Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort is always a delightful experience.
Some of the water nearby flows, like Cromwell Brook, and camping is available at Bar Harbor Campground. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Jessup
| Trail. Drift down the rapids of Union River in a kayak, and if you want to hit the beach, Sand Beach is in the vicinity.
Don't forget to go to Cromwell Cove while you're here at Jessup Trail, and Hunters Beach is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. At Jessup Trail during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 30's while Jessup Trail overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. If you feel like a little side journey, try Cromwell Harbor Ledge, and getting to Kebo Brook from Jessup Trail is easy.
