  It's a long drive from Bangor to Lard Camp Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. While you're here at Lard Camp Trail you will meet lots of people from close by Bangor. If you came for an overnight stay Allagash Gateway Campsite is a great place to camp; you can run the rapids of Schoodic Stream. Seboeis Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; Piscataquis River is a nice whitewater spot nearby. Why not camp at South Branch Lake Camp
