  Outdoors people generally like this part of Maine. A short visit to Lurvey Spring is always worthwhile, and Duck Pond Brook is near Mansell Mountain Trail and is always a delight to visit. Float down the rapids of Union River in a kayak; you can stay the night at White Birches Campground.
During the summer highs here at Mansell Mountain Trail get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Mansell Mountain Trail. A trip to
    Acadia National Park is worthwhile, and do schedule some time to check out Carter Cove if you have a chance. Mansell Mountain Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking it is always fun.
The high level of precipitation makes Mansell Mountain Trail a relatively wet
site; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and August is the month with the least moisture. Great Notch is in the neighborhood of Mansell Mountain Trail and is beyond doubt a tremendous spot to stop at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue Hill Falls. Long Pond Dam is worth going to while you're here.
There's so much to do here at Mansell Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Smuggler's Den Campground is a delightful place for that, and Cobble Beach is a beach nearby that you can check out. Life's
 
too short to enjoy all the cool stuff near Mansell Mountain Trail. There's some flowing water close by, Great Brook is a stream you can have a look at during your stay, and nothing beats kicking back at Echo Lake Beach.
