  While visiting this area in Maine it's a good idea to go hiking too. McFarland Hill Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls through November; August is when it's the driest. A wonderful place like Gilmore Meadow here at McFarland Hill Trail is too nice to miss, and you can spend the day on the beach at Lamoine Beach.
