  North Ridge Trail is a very long way away from civilization and hiking it is great fun any time. All through the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at North Ridge Trail, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at North Ridge Trail. Hunters Beach is next to North Ridge Trail and is a gorgeous beach to explore, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Maple Spring.
If you came to camp Mt Desert Campground is a great location
    to do that, and swing by Richardson Brook it's a brilliant spot to take a look at. North Ridge Trail gets a good deal of water; through November this area sees the most rain; the driest month is August.
On a beautiful day you can have a look at Echo Lake Beach near North Ridge
Trail; Hadlock Upper Dam is a striking site. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Branch Lake Stream. Why not pop by Tumbledown Cove also since you're here, and Fern Spring is an inspiring place to stop at while here.
But wait, there's more to do near North Ridge Trail. Gilmore Meadow is a good site. There's so much to do here at North Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Store is a great location for that. If you come at the right time of year, Union River offers some brilliant whitewater, and if you're looking for a good
 
tour, Acadia National Park is reasonably near. Places like Southwest Valley are splendid to pop by, and some of the water nearby flows, like Chasm Brook.
