Because Old Spring Trail is very far from civilization it is a good trail. Hiking here in Maine is a must. A tour to Acadia National Park is worthwhile, and unsurprisingly Duck Pond Brook is a pretty stream that is worth checking out. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blue Hill Falls; a glorious place to camp here at Old Spring Trail is White Birches Campground.
You are near Carter Cove while you're here at Old Spring Trail, and while you're here here do stop at nearby Cobble Beach. All the water
falling down from the sky makes Old Spring Trail a wet place; during the month of November you get the most rain around here; August on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Old Spring Trail all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's; the overnight is
slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Old Spring Trail are in the 10's.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Old Spring Trail. One of the best things about Old Spring Trail is its proximity to Echo Lake Beach; why not camp at Smuggler's Den Campground since you're here at Old Spring Trail. Union River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by.
Little Notch is a good location to take a look at nearby, and why not a little side tour to Great Brook.
