Perpendicular Trail

A long drive separates Bangor from Perpendicular Trail, but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. All our national parks are splendid locations to explore, and Acadia National Park is no exception. Perpendicular Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Smuggler's Den Campground is a glorious local campground. Great Notch is a perfect spot to have a look at nearby, and let's not forget Great Brook which is a stream that you may
stumble upon during your stay. Lurvey Spring is always fun to check out; Lamoine State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue Hill Falls. There's so much to do here at Perpendicular
Trail that you need to camp here for a while, White Birches Campground is a tremendous place for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the vicinity of Perpendicular Trail. You'll meet a lot of people from Mount Desert here, and Heath Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. A day at Cobble Beach right next door to Perpendicular Trail is time well spent, and if you come at the right time of year, Union River offers some
great whitewater. A good beach right next door to Perpendicular Trail is Echo Lake Beach, and don't forget to have a look at Carter Cove if you're here. Perpendicular Trail is a wet location that gets a great deal of precipitation. The month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while August is frequently the driest month.
