| | Razorback Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking it is great fun any time. Throughout the warm days of summer at Razorback Trail temperatures are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Razorback Trail. Hit the beach if you want, Cobble Beach is practically right here, and you are in close proximity to Carter Cove since you're here. Campground is a good campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Razorback Trail a wet location; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most while August is typically the driest month. Get your heart pumping on the
| great whitewater of Union River, and a trip to Razorback Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Lurvey Spring. So many exciting things near Razorback Trail, absolutely phenomenal. Stay the night at Smuggler's Den Campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Heath Brook. You can run the rapids of Blue Hill Falls near Razorback Trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like Great Brook. This part of Maine is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. A tremendous place to visit right next door to Razorback Trail is Great Notch; a visit to Acadia National Park is worthwhile. | |
