  Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? South Ridge Trail in Hancock County, Maine is just what you need. Just can't get enough of South Ridge Trail. A tremendous site for whitewater paddling near South Ridge Trail is Blue Hill Falls, and do put some time aside to spend at Lurvey Spring while you're here at South Ridge Trail. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Union River, and a tremendous place to have a look at close by is Great Notch.
There's some flowing water nearby, Lurvey Brook is a stream you can check out while you're here, and
    time spent at Cobble Beach is always perfect. A nice location to camp here at South Ridge Trail is Smuggler's Den Campground; do pay a visit to Acadia National Park since you're here at South Ridge Trail. Heath Brook flows through this vicinity, and you can spend the day on the
beach at Echo Lake Beach.
There's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Echo Lake Dam near South Ridge Trail; camping is available at White Birches Campground. South Ridge Trail being so far away from the nearest city you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. Throughout the summertime at South Ridge Trail highs are generally in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at South Ridge Trail plunge into the 10's.
 
Man O'War Brook Falls is a pleasant local attraction, and why not take a look at Carter Cove also if you're here. All the water falling down from the sky makes South Ridge Trail a wet spot; November is the wettest month with most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest.
