  Maine is a good place for outdoors people. The Anvil Trail is in a quite desolate area and when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Summertime highs at The Anvil Trail regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at The Anvil Trail are in the 10's. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Narraguagus River - West Branch, and nearby you come across
    Schoodic Ledge which is a delightful site to visit.
Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Hancock County of Maine, The Anvil Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. The Anvil Trail mostly gets a lot of rainfall; the
month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August is the month with the least moisture. The Anvil Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort is a great local campground, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Narraguagus River.
Mountain Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and Acadia National Park is a pleasant national park. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at The Anvil Trail. There's so much to do here at The Anvil Trail that you need to
 
camp here for a while, Flanders Bay is a fine place for that. There's some flowing water close by, Mountain Brook is a stream you can have a look at during your stay; while you're here you have to take a look at East Pond.
