  A good beach near The Tarn Trail is Hunters Beach; The Tarn Trail is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort is a great spot to camp nearby. You can take a little trip to The Tarn Dam since you're here at The Tarn Trail; don’t forget to stop at The Featherbed since you're here at The Tarn Trail.
Whitewater paddling is perfect on Union River, and The Black Woods is a glorious local forest. If you're looking for a beach next to The Tarn Trail, we recommend Sand Beach, and close by you come across Otter Cove. If you
    want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to The Tarn Trail. Blackwoods Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Canon Brook.
The Tarn Trail is a very long way away from civilization and it is a fun place
to hike for the whole family. Sieur de Monts Spring is always fun to check out, and if you haven’t been to Acadia National Park, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here.
The Tarn Trail gets a great deal of water; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is August. Paddling on Branch Lake Stream is so much fun, and some of the water close by flows, like Otter Creek. High temperatures at The Tarn Trail throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the
 
50's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at The Tarn Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
