  The Tarn Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. This spot is unbeatable, just look at all the cool things to do near The Tarn Trail. Camping at Blackwoods Campground is always a pleasant experience, and Branch Lake Stream is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Hunters Beach, and getting to Otter Creek from The Tarn Trail is easy.
Take a little spree to Canon Brook while you're here at The Tarn Trail, and Acadia National Park is a delightful local destination.
    Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, The Tarn Trail in Hancock County, Maine is just the place. You are near Otter Cove if you're here at The Tarn Trail; you can take a little trip to The Tarn Dam if you're here at The Tarn Trail.
Camping is available at
Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort, and do put some time aside to spend at Sieur de Monts Spring if you're here at The Tarn Trail. While you're here at The Tarn Trail it's a great idea to go to The Featherbed; there's a magnificent forest called The Black Woods.
You can run the rapids of Union River right next door to The Tarn Trail, and you can hit the beach if you want, Sand Beach is practically right here. During the warm days of summer at The Tarn Trail temperatures are typically in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
 
Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for The Tarn Trail. The high level of precipitation makes The Tarn Trail a reasonably wet site; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; August is when it's the driest.
