The high level of rainfall makes Valley Cove Trail a pretty wet location; most of the rain falls throughout November, and August is when it's the driest. Cobble Beach is in close proximity to Valley Cove Trail and is a delightful beach to check out; since you're here, you might as well visit Fernald Rock. On a delightful day you can have a look at Echo Lake Beach near Valley Cove Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping     wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Branch Lake Stream. Smuggler's Den Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and Norwood Cove Dam has great water scenery. Union River is a great whitewater spot near Valley Cove Trail, and since you're here, you could explore Hadlock Brook. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. A tour to Acadia National Park is recommended; Man O'War Brook Falls is a wonderful place to go to while you're at Valley Cove Trail.
