  Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Western Head Trail in Knox County, Maine is a great place to go. Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park is a perfect location to stretch your legs a bit. Western Head Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park is a magnificent local campground. Middle Ledges is a delightful spot to look at; if you're here you have to stop at Duck Harbor. Some close by water
    includes Merchant Brook, and people from Matinicus love to come here. Boom Beach is in the vicinity of Western Head Trail if you're in a beach type of mood. There's so much to do here at Western Head Trail that you need to camp here
for a while, Duck Harbor Campground is a splendid site for that. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Western Head Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Blue Hill Falls offers some great whitewater. If you want to hit the beach, Goss Beach is close by, and there are some great whitewater spots on Goose Falls. From a rainfall point of view Western Head Trail is a relatively typical site. Of all the months in a year November is the one  
with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the warm days of summer here at Western Head Trail, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
