Backside Trail is not very near Helena at all but it is a good trail. There's so much to do here at Backside Trail that you need to camp here for a while, H and C RV Campground and Store is a tremendous place for that, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Helena for sure. Getting to Sevenmile Creek from Backside Trail is painless; a nice site nearby is Grizzly Gulch. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Backside Trail while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets     highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Backside Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Backside Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lincoln Road RV Park; if you come at the right time of year, Boulder River offers some perfect whitewater.
