ummm.... the Bangtails are a different mountain range than Big Belts, or is this supposed to be ''Bangtail TO Big Belt Mountains?'' And neither of those ranges are in gallatin County?

| | Hiking trails are all over the Big Belt Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Moody Creek is close to Bangtail Trail and is always a delight to go to, and if you came to camp Brackett Creek Campground is a wonderful place to do that. Hiking here in Montana is a must.
Because Bangtail Trail is very far from civilization it's one of those places where hiking is great. At Bangtail Trail throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 30's while |
Bangtail Trail nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. All year is a wonderful time in the Big Belt Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Camping at Battle Ridge Campground is always a glorious experience.
