Big River Trail

  It's a long drive from Kalispell to Big River Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Big River Trail in Flathead County, Montana is a good choice. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Montana. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Lewis Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
Flathead National Forest is a magnificent place, and you can stay the night at Devil
    Creek Campground. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Lewis Range, too tremendous to be true. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and while you're here, you could check out Castle Creek. You'll
need more than a day to explore everything Big River Trail has to offer, you can camp at Summit Campground. Bear Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; it's a tremendous idea to stop at Castle Creek. Big River Trail gets a typical amount of annual rain. The month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and April is the month with the least moisture. At Big River Trail during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and through  
summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Big River Trail night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
