| | If you are in Montana during hiking season you have to go hiking. Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Flathead County of Montana, Bowman Lake Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. At Bowman Lake Trail you don’t see much precipitation; most of the snow falls through December while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flathead River - Middle Fork, and Glacier National Park is a delightful national park.

Lake Trail is a long drive away from Kalispell but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Summertime highs at Bowman Lake Trail mostly tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's with winter
| lows in the 0's overnight here at Bowman Lake Trail.
Hiking trails are all over the Lewis Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Logging Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Flathead River - Middle Fork.
Just can't get enough of the Lewis Range. Numa Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth checking out, and if you came for an overnight stay Bowman Lake Campground is a great place to camp. | |
