Jeff: Grueling uphill climb; not for beginners. Bring ample supply of water during summer months.
Miriam: Beautiful views of the Flathead Valley. Look for the waterfall hidden off the uphill side of the trail about 2 miles in. When you come to the first creek to cross, head up along the creek. Waterfall is just a short jaunt up.
Emily: Not grueling at all. A very easy hike.Also not a peaceful walk.

Mountain Trail is a glorious idea, and Columbia Mountain Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Hungry Horse Campground is a fine local campground. The vistas at Glacier National Park will blow your mind, and while you're here, you could pop by Sand Creek. Columbia Mountain Trail is located quite a long drive from Kalispell but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable.
