  Crown Mountain Trail is in a quite desolate area and what a great place for hiking it is. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Crown Mountain Trail in Lewis and Clark County, Montana is a really good place to spend some time. There's so much to do here at Crown Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Fly in Campground is a nice place for that, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Double Falls. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Falls Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Crown Mountain
    Trail has to offer, you can camp at Wood Lake Campground.
For the duration of the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Crown Mountain Trail with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter
at Crown Mountain Trail temperatures plunge to the 10's. There's some flowing water nearby, Squirrel Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here. Hiking in Montana is such a great thing to do.
And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Lewis Range. There's whitewater on Dearborn River for all you adrenaline junkies; Whitewater Creek is right next door to Crown Mountain Trail and is always a bliss to stop by. Hiking trails are all over the Lewis Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these
 
mountains.
Crown Mountain Trail gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
