  In the Lewis Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Jakie Creek Trail is located quite a long drive from Helena but it is a good trail. No chance of getting bored in Montana if you like the outdoors.
You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Jakie Creek Trail in Lewis and Clark County, Montana is just the place. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you
    then we recommend Dearborn River. Wood Lake Campground is a nice local campground, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Dearborn River. Jakie Creek Trail is a site with many visitors from Augusta, and if you're looking
for some flowing water? Try Jakie Creek. Home Gulch Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and hey, Moudess Creek is a great local stream. Near Jakie Creek Trail you stumble on Welcome Pass which is a nice place to check out. It is very waterless here at Jakie Creek Trail mostly. The month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Jakie Creek Trail while night lows  
are regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Jakie Creek Trail.
