Highs throughout the wintertime are regularly in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lodgepole Trail temperatures plunge to the 10's.

| it's for you then, we recommend Boulder River. Lodgepole Trail being so far away from the nearest city when you hike it you're always having a good time.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lodgepole Trail has to offer, you can camp at Mc Leod Resort. There's whitewater on Boulder River - East for all you adrenaline kick people, and some nearby water includes East Fork Upper Deer Creek. At Lodgepole Trail you don’t see much precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February.
