  We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Lone Mountain Trail in Lewis and Clark County, Montana is a perfect place for getting out. If you are in Montana during hiking season you have to go hiking. There are many hiking trails in the Lewis Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
You'll have to go far from Helena to get to Lone Mountain Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time. Indian Meadows is right here
    at Lone Mountain Trail, and why not camp at Copper Creek Campground while you're here at Lone Mountain Trail. So much exciting stuff in the Lewis Range, just mind-boggling. There's whitewater on Falls Creek for all you adrenaline
people, and swing by Snowbank Creek it's a good site to explore. Aspen Grove Campground is a wonderful local campground, and some of the water close by flows, like Fickler Creek. Get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Dearborn River. Not much rain falls here at Lone Mountain Trail. All through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Summertime highs at Lone Mountain Trail generally tend to be in  
the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Lone Mountain Trail.
