All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Loneman Mountain Trail dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Lewis Range, it's a great hiking area.

Trail is a rather common location; December is the month that gets the most snow, and April is when it's the driest. Far from civilization you find Loneman Mountain Trail and it is a good trail.

| than a day to look at everything Loneman Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Avalanche Campground; if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork. If you are in Montana during hiking season you have to go hiking. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Lewis Range. Loneman Mountain Trail is a brilliant location to camp, Sprague Creek Campground is a brilliant location, and there's some flowing water close by, Nyack Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay.
A journey to Glacier National Park is recommended, and Flathead River - Middle Fork is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. | |
