All through the summer months at South Fork Trail highs are typically in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Through the winter     the highs are mostly in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at South Fork Trail drop into the 10's. Why not explore close by Cow Creek while you're here at South Fork Trail, and a wonderful place to camp here at South Fork Trail is Fairy Lake Campground. Around South Fork Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. There are many hiking trails in the Big Belt Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. It's a long drive from Bozeman to South Fork Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.
