While visiting this area in Montana it's a good idea to go hiking too. It is very dried out here at West Lakes Trail frequently; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest of the months is April. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and West Lakes Trail is delightful enough to spend more |
than a day at, Big Creek Campground is a delightful local campground.
For the period of the summertime months at West Lakes Trail highs are typically in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight
