Art Loeb Trail   Fred, there are no mountains in the south above timberline. There are mountains with no timber, however. Says Spoiler One of my favs. the signs say most difficult, but that’s really only for the hard parts, the rest isn’t that bad ;)...But for real, bring sunscreen, and I would advise against camping on the balds...Wind is non-stop, and you are completely exposed to whatever random weather decides to show up, albeit rain, snow, or saturating mist.
