The high level of precipitation makes Cascade Trail a rather wet site; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. Upper Cascade Falls is an inspiring location to take a look at while you're here; if you came for an overnight stay Hanging Rock State Park is a splendid place to camp.

| and why not camp at Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River since you're here at Cascade Trail.
For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Cascade Trail get into the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Cascade Trail nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Yeah, come here to Cascade Trail for a wonderful time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Creek, and a splendid spot to pop by close by is Wolf Gap.
