| | Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Alleghany County of North Carolina, Dogwood Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Dogwood Trail is a long drive away from North Wilkesboro but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Summertime at Dogwood Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Dogwood Trail tend to be in the 10's. Dogwood Trail |

Here at Dogwood Trail there are plenty of people from North Wilkesboro, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Yadkin River.
