With so many outdoors activities available in North Carolina you'll never get bored. There's whitewater on Tallulah River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Gage Trail in Macon County, North Carolina is a good choice.
Gage Trail is a pretty wet place ordinarily with much rain; the month with most of the rain is March while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. |
Reynolds Gap is a brilliant site to explore. There's so much to do here at Gage Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Cartoogechaye Creek is a pleasant spot for that.

| Henson Creek since you're here at Gage Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nantahala River. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Gage Trail, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Gage Trail.
