Palmer Creek Trail

  In the Great Smoky Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. A visit to North Carolina is not complete without some hiking. Gotta get out of the city man, and Palmer Creek Trail in Haywood County, North Carolina is a perfect place for getting out.
You'll have to go far from Newport to get to Palmer Creek Trail but it is a great escape from the city. L Davidson Branch is a fine site to go to, and Palmer
    Creek Trail is in close proximity to Davidson Gap which is absolutely worth going to. All year is a good time in the Great Smoky Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Cataloochee Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot
in the neighborhood of Palmer Creek Trail, and camping is available at Balsam Mountain Campground. In case you donít mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek. While you're here at Palmer Creek Trail you will meet lots of people from close by Maggie Valley. Why not camp at Round Bottom Campground if you're here at Palmer Creek Trail; hey, Davidson Branch is a great local stream. If you want a great time in the great outdoors,  
just come on down to Palmer Creek Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Palmer Creek Trail, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, usually in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Palmer Creek Trail sink into the 20's.
