  Rartram Trail is a very long way away from civilization and when you hike it you're always having a good time. This part of North Carolina has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Rartram Trail in Macon County, North Carolina is just what you need. High temperatures at Rartram Trail all through the summer months are in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at
    Rartram Trail are in the 20's.
Hiking trails are all over the Great Smoky Mountains, it's a great hiking area. A quick tour to Right Prong Ray Branch next to Rartram Trail is a great idea, and Pines RV Park and Cabins is a nice local campground.
If you want a nice time
in the great outdoors just come on up to the Great Smoky Mountains. It's a perfect idea to take a look at Left Prong Ray Branch, it's close to Rartram Trail, and a fine place is Locust Tree Gap. Why not camp at Cartoogechaye Creek while you're here at Rartram Trail. Rartram Trail is a rather wet place frequently with lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through March; the driest month is October.
Nantahala National Forest is a good forest region next to Rartram Trail, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Nantahala River.
