| | You'll have to go far from Dunn to get to Raven Rock Loop but it's one of those places where hiking is great. Don't forget to take a pleasant little journey to Mill Creek, and there's whitewater on Cape Fear for all you adrenaline kick people. This is such a great river. Visit Avents Creek while you're here at Raven Rock Loop, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Dunn.
At Raven Rock Loop through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's |
while the cold winter nights at Raven Rock Loop are in the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes Raven Rock Loop a quite wet place; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is September. You can run the rapids of Buckhorn Creek near Raven Rock Loop, and Lanier Falls is a great local attraction.
