  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Rufus Morgan Trail in Macon County, North Carolina is a really good place to spend some time. Rufus Morgan Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it is one of many great trails in this area. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Nantahala River, and why not a little side trip to Left Prong Rough Fork. While visiting this area in North Carolina it's a good idea to go hiking too.
That right there is a load of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Great Smoky Mountains
    has it all. Camping at Rufus Morgan Trail is splendid fun, Deep Gap Primitive Campground is a splendid local campground, and of course Right Prong Rough Fork is a striking stream that is worth stopping at. During the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Rufus Morgan
Trail. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rufus Morgan Trail. Rufus Morgan Trail usually gets lots of rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
If you came for an overnight stay Cartoogechaye Creek is a fine place to camp, and Bear Cove is definitely a good spot to pop by. In the Great Smoky Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you.
