At the end of the Hariot trail is a bench overlooking the Sound. Next to the bench are what appear to be 2 stumps. Did these once hold a sign or map? If anyone knows what these are, please email me at rbfox@hotmail.com. Thanks

| | A visit to North Carolina is not complete without some hiking. You'll have to go far from Kill Devil Hills to get to Thomas Hariot Nature Trail but it is a good trail. Thomas Hariot Nature Trail is a spot with many visitors from Kill Devil Hills; Otis Cove is very near and is a pleasant spot to stop at. Blockade Shoal is close to Thomas Hariot Nature Trail and is a good place, and camping at Colington Park Campground is always a tremendous experience.
