If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Grassy Lot Gap is close to Thompson Ridge Trail and is a great location, and Blue Ridge Parkway is a great national park. If you're here at Thompson Ridge Trail, you could pop by Poplar Creek, and whitewater paddling is great on Pigeon River - Big East Fork.

regularly are in the 80's at Thompson Ridge Trail; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Thompson Ridge Trail.
