  There are many hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. With so many outdoors activities available in North Carolina you'll never get bored. Thorn Mountain Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Nelson's Nantahala Hideaway is a good local campground.
Through the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Thorn Mountain Trail. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures
    at Thorn Mountain Trail dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Roaring Fork is a splendid place to have a look at, and a delightful place nearby is Big Oak Gap. And if that's not enough there's a load more entertaining things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Factory
Branch is a great local stream, and there's whitewater on Nantahala River for all you adrenaline junkies.
