Hey folks - the Adam's slide trail is a now defunct trail... while it can be followed, it is quite steep and overgrown. You talk about the Six Husbands Trail like it was a walk in the park. It is one of the more difficult trails in the Presidentials. Star Lake is at 4300+ feet, requiring a strenuos climb. Weather in the Presidentials is changeable and extreme - people die in snowstorms in the summer up there. Not good to publish such misleading info...

  A long drive separates Berlin from Adams Slide Trail, but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. A quick visit to Chandler Brook near Adams Slide Trail is a nice idea. There's so much to do here at Adams Slide Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Timberland Camping Area is a wonderful place for that. This is such a fun river. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Peabody River - West Branch; Jefferson Ravine is also a splendid location to explore.
New Hampshire has so much to offer nature
    lovers. The annual precipitation here at Adams Slide Trail is about average; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
