Hey folks - the Adam's slide trail is a now defunct trail... while it can be followed, it is quite steep and overgrown. You talk about the Six Husbands Trail like it was a walk in the park. It is one of the more difficult trails in the Presidentials. Star Lake is at 4300+ feet, requiring a strenuos climb. Weather in the Presidentials is changeable and extreme - people die in snowstorms in the summer up there. Not good to publish such misleading info...

  Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Adams Slide Trail in Coos County, New Hampshire is a good choice. Adams Slide Trail is located quite a long drive from Berlin but it's one of those places where hiking is great. New Hampshire has so much to offer nature lovers. That right there is heaps of cool stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. White Birches Mountain Camping Park is a good local campground, and Jefferson Ravine is undeniably a magnificent site to have a look at.
Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Peabody River;
    if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Chandler Brook. For the period of the summer months at Adams Slide Trail temperatures are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in
the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Adams Slide Trail temperatures descend to the 0's.
Why not camp at Timberland Camping Area since you're here at Adams Slide Trail, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Peabody River - West Branch. Adams Slide Trail gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
