| | A long drive separates Berlin from Avalon Trail, but it is a really good trail. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Ammonoosuc River, and if you came to camp Dry River Campground is a perfect place to do that. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. Gibbs Brook is next to Avalon Trail and is always a joy to stop by, and Avalon Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tarry-ho-cottages is a great local campground.
