| | There are many wonderful hiking trails in the White Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Basin Trail in Coos County, New Hampshire is just what you need. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Basin Trail has it all. Far from civilization you find Basin Trail and it sure is a nice trail.
Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Peabody River, and you can stay the night at Wild River Campground. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wild |
River, and obviously Blue Brook flows through this region.
New Hampshire is a great place for hikers. It's always pleasant to go to Hermit Falls; The Basin is a pretty place any time of year. Summertime highs at Basin Trail typically tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is
| down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Basin Trail.
An average amount of precipitation falls at Basin Trail; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. So many cool things in the White Mountains, just inspiring. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Basin Trail has to offer, you can camp at Basin Campground and Picnic Area; let's not forget Bull Brook which is a stream that you may bump into while here. | |
