| | It's a long drive from Laconia to Bear Mountain Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. New Hampshire is a good place for outdoors people. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more amusing things to do in the White Mountains. Camping is available at Jigger Johnson Campground 1, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Swift River.
