Ammonoosuc River is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Black Brook Trail. High temperatures at Black Brook Trail during the summertime are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Black Brook Trail dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.

The annual precipitation here at Black Brook Trail is about average; during August this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month.
