| | New Hampshire is a great outdoors state. A long drive separates Laconia from Boles Trail, but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. At Boles Trail during the summertime highs are in the 70's; the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Boles Trail. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Wonalancet, and some nearby water includes Champney Brook.

| Campground 2, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swift River. The amount of rainfall that falls at Boles Trail is close to the national average; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping at Jigger Johnson Campground 1 is always a splendid experience; Twin Brook is next to Boles Trail and is always a bliss to explore.
